    You shouldn’t need to pay council tax in the UK as a full-time student in Southampton. We might ask for evidence of your student status at any point during your stay in order to ensure you are exempt from council tax.

  11. When can I move into my student accommodation in Southampton?

    It might be possible to check in earlier than your contract starts, if your room is empty over the summer. Get in touch and we can let you know the earliest date that you can move in.

    Once your contract has officially started, you can move in at any time. Closer to the start date, we’ll ask you to let us know when you plan to arrive so that we can make check-in as seamless as possible – but if you need to amend this date and time, you can easily do so from within your Vita Student Account.
